Message from Mrs Thomson:
For any new families due to start in September 2020...
We welcome you to our school family and we are just so sorry that, at the present time, we can't invite you to all the usual transition meetings and events we had planned for the summer term. I will be contacting you personally as soon as we have your details, then we will send you any official paperwork that you need, so that the start of the new school year can be organised as smoothly as we can make it for your children.
In the meantime, have a look at the website and see what we do!
'Growing Together, Belonging and Achieving'
'Everybody in our caring Christian community inspiring, nurturing and challenging each other to do their best in mind, body and spirit to achieve more than they ever thought possible.'
Welcome to Court de Wyck Church School. We believe that all children should have the opportunity to develop their potential, both academically and personally. We insist on good behaviour, polite and caring attitudes to all. We are 'crew' and take pride in belonging to our school community- helping each other and encouraging each other in all we do. All children should be challenged to achieve the very best they can- everybody is expected to do their very best.
At Court de Wyck we aim to:
Be transformational and expect outstanding development for all children
Underpin every policy and action with the Christian principles set out in the vision statement
Work with every child and family to develop the potential of each individual
Drive up academic standards and achievement
Ensure that every aspect of school life engages and inspires students
Promote inspirational teaching, challenging lessons and independent learners
Work with local early years and secondary provision to ensure smooth transition and maximise outcomes
Use ICT as a tool for learning in all situations for both staff and students
Transform student, family and community attitudes to be truly aspirational
Enable confident learners
Court de Wyck is set in the beautiful village of Claverham between Bristol and Weston super Mare. We are very proud of our school and its beautiful surroundings.
We are part of the Diocese of Bath and Wells Multi Academy Trust and have close links with Holy Trinity, Cleeve and St Barnabas, Claverham. Christian values underpin all that we do and promote our vision of all children, 'Growing together, belonging and achieving.'
We have a rich, creative and experiential curriculum which makes learning relevant and irresistible for our children. Our skills based learning is designed to equip our children with the key skills they will need to be successful in their lives going forwards.
We recognise school working in partnership with parents is crucial to children's learning experience and we work hard to develop strong home school links and provide support where it is requested.
The team would love to welcome you and show you around our happy and friendly school. In the mean time, please enjoy browsing our website . If there is any information you require as a paper copy, please contact the office. Have a look at our 'Big Plan' below...
