Hello Goldfinches!
How are you all? I hope you enjoyed last week's home learning all about Rainbows. This week we are continuing with this. In English, we are carrying on with our unit called Rainbows, Rainbows Everywhere. There is a mixture of reading, writing, grammar and talking activities for you to do. If you would like to send your explanation writing in, then I can add it to the website. In maths we are going to carry on using the BBC Bitesize lessons which are all set out for you.
Our topic work starts off with thinking about oceans, as on Monday it is Oceans Day. We've looked at the oceans a few times before in the atlases and on the globe. I wonder how many you can remember!
In school, we have been super busy getting everything ready for the year groups which are coming back on Monday. It looks quite different in school now. Our classroom won't be used yet, but Mrs Baber and Mrs Higgins are going to be in there getting lots of exciting things ready for you and for the children in school. (I'm sure they'll keep it tidy for us!). Of course it won't be the same without the best class in school being there! If your brother or sister are coming back to school and you are bringing them, I'll be welcoming everyone at the gate so I'll keep a special eye out for you!
Have a super week Goldfinches and I really hope to see you all soon.
Mrs Baker-Brown
