Hello Goldfinches!

I hope you are all well and have enjoyed the sunny weekend at home. Did you do something special to celebrate VE Day? I made some scones and we had a delicious cream tea in the garden.

Thank you so much to those of you who emailed in your writing from last week. A huge well done to you. I've put the photos below. I loved reading your work- it really made me smile!

This week in English you can write you own version of Little Red Riding Hood! Remember to use the plan you made last week and stick to the original version as much as you can because this will give you a good story structure. I have put some Best Writing Yet paper on here for you to download if you would like to copy it up and email it in to me and also a success criteria to help you with what to include.

In maths, Y2 and Y3 can both work through the maths on the BBC Bitesize website. You'll be able to go over and practise skills we learnt this year so you don't forget them!

Finally, did you see the video the staff made for you? We had such fun making it! I know how you love a story so I'll tell you what happened...I was laughing alot because when I threw the apple first time I threw it too hard and it hit the top of the nuture room door and fell apart! So I had to refilm it! Mrs Fear and Mr Tucker were there too and found it very funny! You would have laughed too!

Have a lovely week Goldfinches and I look forward to hearing from you all.

From Mrs Baker-Brown smiley
