Home Learning 01.06.20

Hello Robins!

I hope you have enjoyed a bit of a break last week with half term and enjoyed the beautiful weather we have had. I have spent most of the week in the garden in the paddling pool.

Here is your Home learning for the Week beginning Monday 1st June. This week we are excited to be welcoming some children back into school and the school staff have been busy preparing for this. We will still continue to provide home learning in the same format for those that have made the decision not to return.  The home learning activities are following the same topics as the children in school will be following.

This term we have another whole school theme of 'Rainbows'. This should allow you to do some of the topic work with your siblings. I have added some lovely activities for you to try linked to the colours of the rainbow and also finding out how a rainbow is made.

We have also added a Talk for Writing booklet for Year 1 and Reception and they have all the activities you might need in one place. Please don't worry if you can't print it out you can just use paper or your home learning book.

For maths this week we are still using the White Rose videos, you can pause these and do the questions within the video and if you would like some more activities you can follow the link to the BBC website. We have also added some extra activities linked to the topics. Reception are looking at pattern, addition and subtraction. Year 1, you are looking at measuring capacity, this is a great topic to do outside with filling different containers with water and measuring how much water you have.

We love seeing what you have been learning at home so please don't forget that you can share your learning with us, either via your Tapestry account or you can get in contact by emailing the school office at office@cdw.bwmat.org. Remember you can also email us if you have any questions and we will do our best to answer them.

Stay safe and have a super week of home learning.

Mrs Sims and Mrs Bingham
