Hello Goldfinches,

I hope you are all well and have had a super weekend.

I loved speaking to so many of you on the phone last week. It was great to hear your voices and to hear what you have been doing. I'm super excited that so many of you are going to come back to school for four days soon. We have moved the tables around in the classroom so there is space around everyone - I'll show you some photos soon so you can see what it looks like.

I have had fun planning this weeks home learning. The English work is from a book called 'The day the crayons quit'. It's a great book with letters inside that crayons have written. You'll have to read it a few times to get into it - that's what I did and I love it now. I had even more fun writing a WAGOLL (what a good one looks like) for you of a letter that you will be writing next week. Think back to our rainbow sentences and see which features you can spot in the letter. You could probably add more too!

Some of your parents said they'd like a change from the BBC Bitesize maths so I have added a link to the Oak Academy website. See how you get on with it and let me know. You'll need to watch a video of a lesson and do the activities alongside it.

Have a lovely week and enjoy the sunshine - it's supposed to get hot this week so remember your sun cream and hat!

Take care and hope to see you soon,

from Mrs Baker-Brown smiley
