Week Beginning 11.5.20

Hi Owls!

I hope you have had a fun week. I really enjoyed celebrating the 75th Anniversary of VE Day on Friday and made some scones so that I could enjoy a tasty cream tea. Did any of you celebrate? I'd love to see some photos of what you got up to!

This week we are back to our whole school theme of 'The World Around Us' and there are some fun activities about recycling for you to take a look at. In Maths I have shared a 'Fun Sheet' that I came across and thought would be a really interesting way to practise your skills. In your English activities this week you will be writing your own version of 'The Three Little Pigs'. Take a look at the example story I have written for you- inspired by the little mouse I saw nibbling some bread in my garden. Don't forget to use the success criteria so you can remember what to include.

Another of the activities this week is to design and make a healthy picnic. This is something we would have been doing in school this term so hopefully you will be able to enjoy it at home with your families. I hope that you have also been enjoying doing some reading whilst you are home. Remember there is an account set up for you on www.oxfordowl.co.uk. To log-in the username is: owl@cdw and the Password is: Hunt. I have also shared an ebook with you this week called 'The Messy Magpie' which links nicely with the work you are doing on recycling.

Finally, I hope you have had a chance to see the video the staff have made for you. I really enjoyed filming my part and it has been lovely to hear how much some of you have enjoyed watching it.

Remember I'm only an email away if you want to share with me what you are doing and how you are getting on with the home learning. Just email office@cdw.bwmat.org and put my name in the subject.

Have a great week Owls,

Miss Hunt
