Hello amazing Goldfinches!

I hope you are all well and managed to keep cool during the super hot weather. It was so hot in school! Did you do something to cool down? Maybe you have got a paddling pool at home or you had an icy drink or two!

This week we are carrying on with our work on 'The day the crayons quit'. There is some themed learning linked to it and in English you will be writing a letter to one of the crayons from the main character Duncan explaining why they are such an important crayon. Once you have learnt how to write a persuasive letter, think of all the things you could write to your family about! You could try to persuade them to do all sorts of things! wink

For a fun PE activity this week, try setting up your own mini Olympics at home. See how quickly you can run a short distance, how far you can throw a tennis ball (holding it like a shot put)  or see how far you can do a standing long jump. Try to break your own record! Who knows...we may have a future Olympic champion in Goldfinch Class!

I'm getting super excited to see so many of you soon! Have a great week,

Mrs Baker-Brown smiley
