English

For the first two weeks of the term, the whole school are studying the same text. The chosen text is a picture book called Journey by Aaron Becker.

So far this term, the children have explored the text by making inferences from the pictures - which has resulted in some fantastic whole class discussions!

At the moment, the children are working hard to retell a part of the story in their own words. We will share some of these with you when they are finished!

In the third week, we will begin to study our first class text. This term it will be The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. Throughout terms 1 and 2, the children will be writing in a range of different text types, including; diary entries, newspaper reports, non-chronological reports and story writing.
