At Court de Wyck, we teach Religious Education (RE) through a worldview approach, helping children to explore how people understand and make sense of the world around them. We use the Awareness, Mystery and Values 22 (AMV22) syllabus alongside Understanding Christianity to provide a rich and balanced curriculum. Children learn about a range of religious and non-religious worldviews, exploring what people believe, how these beliefs influence their lives and why they are important.

Through stories, discussion, exploration and reflection, we encourage children to ask questions, share their own ideas and develop respect for different beliefs, values and ways of life. Our RE curriculum also supports the development of British values, including mutual respect, tolerance of different faiths and beliefs, individual liberty, democracy and the rule of law. By exploring both similarities and differences between worldviews, we aim to nurture curiosity, understanding and empathy, preparing children to become respectful, thoughtful and responsible members of our diverse society.
