Pupil Leadership Groups

We believe that every child should have the opportunity to develop leadership skills and have their voice heard. Our pupil leadership groups empower children to take on responsibility, represent the views of their peers and make a positive contribution to school life.

These opportunities support our commitment to the British Values of democracy, individual liberty, mutual respect and tolerance. By sharing ideas, participating in discussions and helping to shape school decisions, children learn that their views matter and that they can play an active role in their community.

Through pupil leadership, children develop confidence, responsibility, teamwork and communication skills, preparing them to become thoughtful, respectful and active citizens of the future.

Spiritual Group

Our Spiritual Group meet with Mrs Baker-Brown. They regularly lead Collective Worship as well as special events such as Remembrance Service, Harvest Worship, Christingle and Easter Worship. They have been involved in the development of our Spiritual Courtyard.

Reading Reps

Our Reading Reps are very proud of our new look library.  Working with Miss Patrick, they  enjoy categorising the books and suggesting recommended reads to others.

Eco Warriors

This group meets with Mrs Bingham and are very excited to be working towards gaining Eco Schools status.

Mini Police

Our Y5 Mini Police group are very excited to be working with local PCSOs, and Mrs Litt, to strengthen community links and promote a positive relationship with the police.

Science Ambassadors

The Science Ambassadors and Miss Hawkins work to raise the profile of science across the school. Fun and inclusive events such as Science Week and Science Investigations at home are arranged. The highlight has to be the Y5s attending Space Camp and camping in the school field being astrologers at night!
